Annual Meeting - Each September, all Adams Electric Cooperative Members have an opportunity to attend their annual meeting. A typical annual meeting includes reports by the manager and officers of the Board of Directors, an election of directors and other Cooperative business. Dinner, musical entertainment, activities for children, and prizes keep our annual meeting informal. Every Member is equal: One Member - One Vote.

The 2008 meeting will be Wednesday, September 3 at Bailey Park in Camp Point.

Advisory Committee - The Co-op has a member advisory committee that meets four times per year. The committee consists of 18 member/couples, two member/couples from each director's district, who serve alternating two-year terms. The advisory committee discusses Cooperative operations, acts as a sounding board for various Co-op programs and assists with the annual meeting.

Bylaws - Adams Electric Cooperative Bylaws are available to any member upon request.

We currently serve over 8,000 Members and maintain over 2,190 miles of electric lines in rural Adams, Brown and Schuyler counties, as well as parts of Pike, Hancock, McDonough and Fulton counties in Illinois. Forty-one dedicated, well-trained employees operate the Cooperative.

You may not be familiar with this type of organization, but we are one of about 1,000 rural electric Cooperatives in the United States. The ultimate control of the organization is through a board of directors elected by the Members of the Cooperative.

We differ from other electric utilities. Our purpose is to provide reliable service to our Members, not make a profit for stockholders.

Please contact us if you have any questions or need more information on any program or service.
