RebatesWater Heater Rebates* Install an electric water heater in new construction or replace a gas water heater and receive $75. Only 40-gallon or larger water heaters qualify and the water heater must be installed in our service territory.
Install a geothermal system and receive a $500 rebate. Air-to-air heat pumps with electric backup receives a $300 rebate. Any other primary electric heating system receives a $300 rebate. Air-to-air heat pumps with gas backup or replacing the outdoor heat pump unity only receives a $150 rebate. Rebates only apply to systems installed in our service territory. * Rebates good beginning March 1, 2006. RatesA number of "Switch & Save" programs are available to help lower your overall cost of energy and shave the Cooperative's costly peak demand. Through programs like these, the Cooperative can provide energy to members at a lower cost during the off-peak periods (about 80 percent of the time) if energy usage is curtailed during the peak periods. We would be glad to help you determine which rate works best for you. Electric Heat* Controlled Heating and Cooling (CHC) Rate is only 4.6 cents per kWh for all heating, cooling and water heating. There is an extra $4.00 per month facility charge for the sub-meter. * The electric heat
incentive rate will remain at 4.6 cents/kWh through the end of 2008 and
will increase along with other rate adjustments in 2009. Central Air-Conditioners** Controlled Air-Conditioning (CAC) Rate is only 6.6 cents per kWh during the (4) summer months of June, July, August and September. There is an extra $4.00 per month facility charge during the (4) summer months. ** The central air-conditioner
incentive rate will remain at 4.6 cents/kWh through the end of 2008 and
will increase along with other rate adjustments in 2009. Electric Water Heaters Put a FREE Radio Controlled Switch on your electric water heater and receive a $8.00 per month credit on your electric bill. If you are already on the Interruptible rate or CHC rate, you do not qualify for the credit. Time of Day (TOD) Rate All kWh used in off-peak periods are only 7 cents per kWh. Specialty Rates Adams Electric Cooperative also offers an Irrigation Rate, Interruptible Rate, Municipal Franchise Rate and an Economic Development Rate for large commercial loads. |
